The film honors the living legend who boldly defies many of the assumptions that The Academy is designed to challenge: the 85-year-old French dominatrix, Catherine Robbe-Grillet.

Catherine Robbe-Grillet is a French writer, dominatrix, photographer, theatre and film actress who published sadomasochistic writings under the pseudonyms Jean de Berg and Jeanne de Berg.
